Benny — founder and facilitator of Third Place Malaga
Benny is the founder and main facilitator behind Third Place Málaga, a growing community project dedicated to connection, creativity, and personal exploration. Originally from Canada, Benny has been living in Spain for over a decade and now proudly calls it home. After spending time in several different cities, he eventually fell in love with Málaga and decided to root himself there, drawn by the city’s openness, diversity, and vibrant community spirit.
Experience
Benny is a multifaceted facilitator with a wide range of interests and a deep curiosity about human connection and personal growth. Over the past few years he has explored and trained in various fields related to movement, creativity, and group facilitation. For more than three years he has been hosting events and group experiences, and since 2022 he has been steadily growing the Third Place Málaga community.
Areas of interest
Benny is especially drawn to niche practices and emerging modalities that have not yet fully reached the mainstream. His interests live at the intersection of healing, creativity, and human connection. Some of the themes that inspire his work include movement practices, breathwork, improvisation, self expression, emotional awareness, personal freedom, and the exploration of human potential.
He is particularly passionate about creating environments where people can step outside their usual roles and reconnect with curiosity, presence, and play.
Facilitation Style
His facilitation style blends structure with spontaneity, creating spaces where people can feel safe to explore, express themselves, and connect authentically with others.
Benny brings together elements from different disciplines, often weaving movement, play, reflection, and interaction into the same experience.
His approach focuses on building trust within groups, encouraging participation, and creating memorable shared experiences that leave people feeling more connected to themselves and to others.
Collaboration
While Benny leads many of the sessions at Third Place Málaga, the project also occasionally welcomes invited teachers, artists, and facilitators who bring their own workshops, classes, or special events to the community. These collaborations allow new ideas, practices, and perspectives to enter the space, helping keep the community dynamic, creative, and constantly evolving. Benny enjoys connecting with other facilitators and creators who resonate with the spirit of exploration, connection, and community building that Third Place Málaga represents.
Guest Facilitation and External Events
Benny is also available to collaborate outside of Third Place Málaga as a guest facilitator. He can help open events with connection based introductions or group warmups, facilitate sessions at retreats, or offer workshops and experiences for teams, organizations, and corporate events.
